Day 03: Aral Sea - Kubla Ustyurt Village - Barsakelmes Salt Lake - Lake Sudochie - Kungrad - Khojeili - Nukus
06:30 - Get up early to take pictures of the sunrise over the sea.
07:30 - Breakfast at Yurt camp.
09:30 - Visit Kubla Ustyurt village - 50 km far from the camp. This village is one of the remote in this region. Local people are keeping camels and you have an opportunity to taste the most organic and fresh camel sour milk - SHUBAT. Camel milk is good for increasing the immune system, it normalizes the gastrointestinal tract, nervous system, anemia, vitamin deficiency, diabetes, colitis, and exhaustion. A Gas Compressor Station is functioning in this village with its small airplane runway.
11:00 - Arrive at Barsakelmes - the huge Natural Salt Lake, where the Soda Plant takes its main resource. You have to walk down the hill 1 km to salt lake Leaving the vehicles waiting for you. (Note: Don't forget to take the water to drink). You can take stunning pictures using colorful dresses as it is white hard salt cover till the skyline.
13:00 - Lake Sudochie. We stop at the ancient Light House hill. People used to make a fire to show the direction to the ships in the sea and trading caravans on the ground. Here you can visit the abandoned settlement of the Russian and Polish people who were repressed during the Stalin regimen. The cemetery and ruins of the hospital, cane houses, and old Fish Factory tell the history of this area. Nowadays there is a modern bird-watching point to observe around 250 types of birds inhabiting this decreasing lake.
15:00 - Have lunch at the local cafe in Kungrad district.
17:00 - Visit "Mizdakhan" the architectural complex of the XIV c, Halifa Erejep mausoleum (XII c), Nazlumhansuluw (XII-XIVc), Shamun Nabi (XIX c) and ruins of Gaur Kala fortress (VI B.C.-IX A.D.)
18:00 - Arrive in Nukus. End of the tour.
